Fashions change with the seasons, and with new clothing lines arriving all the time, retailers need a fast and effective way of adding these items to the stock inventory. Additionally, the time it takes to check stock availability – a certain style, colour, size etc. – can mean the difference between securing or losing a sale.
RMSynergy Fashion provides the retailer with an easy to use interface for defining, managing and selling items based around an unlimited set of attributes. So that all important sale should never be far away.
What is a Matrix Stock Item?
Many Retailers hold a wide and varied stock range; hard goods, soft goods, and everything in-between. A fairly high percentage of that stock mix is what could be categorised as multi-dimensional or items that come in various sizes, colors, materials, etc, also known as styles. A great example of this is fashion where, for example, a shirt comes in small, medium, large, and X Large, as well as Red, Blue, Green, and White. This is not limited to Fashion however as there are thousands of other items such as Tyres, Furniture or even Skis which also come in multiple dimensions.
The RMSynergy Fashion / Advanced Matrix Module is designed to fit all areas of multi-dimensional stock. It provides the ability to create a database of Attributes which might include size runs, colour runs, material types, seasons, etc. as well as almost unlimited Stock Patterns to make the daily management of maintaining stock quick and easy.
Attributes (Size & Colour Runs)
The Attributes tool allows the ability to create an unlimited number of Attributes, and related Values. Create size runs for clothing and shoes including waist and chest sizes, men's shoe sizes, ladies blouse sizes, etc. Create seasons. Create colour runs by vendor. Use this tool to make life easier.
Stock Patterns
Build stock patterns for styles which repeat. This allows you to set the attribute dimensions, and ordering factors for a pattern to be used over and over each time you create items which fall into the same basic pattern structure. This is a great time saver as well as an excellent tool for keeping consistency across item styles.
Item Creation and Maintenance
Create and maintain matrix items quickly and easily using the item creation tool. Using the stock patterns makes Item creation even easier, as it auto fills the correct Attributes and Purchasing Factors that have already been set.
Purchasing & Receiving
During the purchasing process, you can create items directly from the PO, auto generate orders based on pre-set stock patterns, or build a PO one style at a time... all in a Matrix / grid format.
Merchandising (HQ Compatible)
When using HQ with the Matrix Module, you get all of the features that the store module has, plus you have some extra tools that allow you to do your basic merchandising for each location.
Point of Sale
When using the Matrix Module many of the features allow improved customer service functionality provided the valuable information can be accessed at the POS. The Fashion / Advanced Matrix module allows precisely that capability. Advanced searching facilities in terms of colour, size or even store are standard within the product.
